Friday night began before even entering the doors at Rock 'n Roll Hotel. As I was walking H St I could already hear Eastern European music coming from a block or two from RnR's direction. If you've ever walked down H St you'd know that this isn't the type of music you may encounter out on the streets. Take a listen:
The show was full of high energy and didn't fail to entertain otherwise. Tomas Drgon and his orchestra, Orchester Prazevica, played a high energy set influenced by Drgon's Slovak heritage. Max Holiday and his orchestra, aptly named MH and His Orchestra, followed up with a high energy set as well in a big band flavor. Closing out the night was the creciendo the crowd was waiting for with Black Masala, another big band horn band with an Eastern European influence as well.
